Bizarre as it seems, this settlement was uncovered by a storm in 1850. Its on the west coast of the mainland of Orkney. It dates to 3100 BC. Yes, I know, that's older than the pyramids. A civilisation lived here, on these islands before the Egyptian empire. I said it was bizarre.
