| < PREV | Knight's Point is a great viewpoint over the Tasman sea. It's on the road from Fox to Haast, and the bus from Fox to Wanaka stopped here briefly. The sandflies were ready to pounce the minute everyone got off the bus! The road was built in the 1950's and only sealed about a decade ago. It's alledged that 'Knight' was 'the obscure dog of an obscure employee of the Ministry of Works' - the name was given during the road construction. | NEXT > | ||||||||
